The Relaxation of Wedding Etiquette Rules
You may have surprised me open like a goldfish in my radio earlier this week, after listening to a program that invites listeners to call in and spout off about including registration information on the wedding prom dresses invitations. At the beginning of the segment, I was curious to hear people's opinions, but I was pretty sure that most of the calls I speak out against registration card or proper print wedding registry information for the invitations.
Boy, was wrong. With the exception of one or two calls, the majority were solidly pro registration cards! If you allow me to paraphrase a certain call, I heard sentiments like "Have your registration information right there on the wedding invitation allows me to buy the couple bridesmaid dresses they really want." And "I do not want to have to track the record by calling the relatives of the bride, I just want to know what you want so you can get" Reeeaaally.evening dress? It has never been much of a problem for me to call or email the bride or groom or anyone who would be the knowledge to know where the couple is registered, but maybe that's just me.
